Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Executive to monitor the finances and human resources of our growing non-profit company. You will be responsible for maintaining all financial records, account reconciliation, completing required tax forms, processing payroll, managing accounts payable and receivable, managing the petty cash fund, budget preparation, monitor assets, providing reports to clients and customers, generating regular reports for the CEO and board of directors and assist with audits. You will also be responsible for supervising an HR employee, which includes: employee benefits and training, unemployment, worker’s comp,maintaining personnel files, and non-profit, DODD and PUCO compliance.

Qualification/Skills:

Completion of secondary education with training and experience in accounting or related field or associate’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent combination.

Three years accounting experience with Microsoft Word (Word, Excel) and accounting software.

Job Duties:

1. Analyzes and processes expense reports, invoices, vouchers, and other financial documents. Prepares vouchers, invoices, and remittances for receipt and disbursement of funds.Prepares monthly financial statements for the Kan Du Group Finance Committee and Board meetings.

2. Processes Kan Du Group payroll.

3. Assists Kan Du Group Production Manager with analysis of costs and preparation of quotes and bids for customers. Provides break-down of costs and revenue to Production Manager on a regular basis.

4. Posts, updates, and balances ledgers and journals. Posts receipts of various funds (e.g. general revenue appropriations, grants, sales receipts, etc.).

5. Posts disbursements and encumbrances. Balances accounts on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

6. Prepares budget.

7. Performs variety of clerical tasks, maintains filing system, types correspondence, answers telephone inquiries.

8. Attends and participates in staff and in-service training meetings and other duties as required.

9. Supervise HR employee.

Hours of Position

  • 40 hour+ work week typically between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00PM
  • Typical work days are Monday through Friday
  • Saturdays, evenings and/ or nights possible for special company events

Shuttle Driver/ Van Driver

Responsibility Summary

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Interaction and support of adults with developmental disabilities
  • Provide transportation driving company owned handicap accessible vans
  • Assist riders as needed
  • Ensure timeliness of van route(s)
  • Communicate with Providers and/or guardians
  • Follow all transportation laws
  • Awareness of vehicle condition and maintenance needs
  • Could involve some personal care

Essential Functions

  • Safe driving
  • Regular attendance

Community Support Professional

Job Type– Part Time

  • Driving company owned wheelchair accessible vehicles

  • Saturdays, evenings and/ or nights, determined by programming choices & special events
