Prior to nursing school, she attended Owens Community College to be a physical therapy assistant and presented at the Honors Symposium in 2012 and 2013 before deciding to go to another school to pursue her passion of helping others in another way through nursing. In 2021, she became a certified instructor of First Aid and CPR through the American Heart Association. Her diverse background has given her experience working with people with behaviors, the geriatric community, children, and the DD community.
